Fishleap is a scrawny, thin, ginger tom with white under his eyes and across his muzzle, a white neck, paws, and tail-tip and yellow/sap-colored eyes. His right ear is torn.
Fishleap was formerly a loner named Fish. He became ShadowClan's medicine cat when ShadowClan's former medicine cat died suddenly without having trained an apprentice.
Fishleap was the only one in the Clan who had even minimal knowledge on herbs, and he said he would learn from the medicine cats in other Clans, which he never did.
Instead, he would sneak off to find catmint to get high, an activity he often did as a loner.
Cherrywhisker found out about his catmint addiction after following his scent across ThunderClan territory and into the Twolegplace, where she then offered to give him catmint in exchange for his loyalty towards her.
Fishleap agreed, often taking his apprentice, Bunnypaw, into ThunderClan territory with him to get catmint from Cherrywhisker instead of teaching Bunnypaw about herbs or StarClan.
Cherrywhisker was doing this because she had been trying to orchestrate a battle between ThunderClan and ShadowClan, and Fishleap trespassing onto ThunderClan territory meant he would leave ShadowClan scent behind, which would make ThunderClan believe ShadowClan was trying to take their resources.
Bunnypaw killed Fishleap by feeding him a mouse stuffed with death berries in an attempt to stop ThunderClan from attacking ShadowClan, though this only made things worse.
